• All OAKWORKS’® beds undergo UL testing, Cycle testing and Component testing, ensuring the highest performance in terms of stability, strength, load, and longevity.
• Beds are upholstered in luxurious TerraTouch™ or UltraTouch™ polyurethane fabrics (avoiding PVC which generates Dioxins as it degrades). This fabric lasts longer than vinyl, has better stain, tear or abrasion resistance, has superior resistance to cracking from oil or cold exposure. It is a premium fabric available in a multitude of colours.
• Beds are padded with 10cm of Aero-Cel™ padding (a CFC-free foam, avoiding creation of greenhouse gasses).
• Woods (Oak or Maple) are taken from sustainable yield forests. Unlike many competitors, all wood is solid – no Chipboard/Flake-board or veneers are used, again ensuring the longevity of the product. Custom staining is available.
• Metal parts are powder coated rather than chrome (avoiding the creation of toxic fluids).
• OAKWORKS’® products are build to last - which means less waste and land-fill as beds do not need to be replaced so often.
